ARTIST BIO | Arpineh Khatchatorians studied Illustration, graphic design and art fundamentals at Sheridan College, School of Animation, Art & Design in Toronto, Canada. Here she earned her BFA in spring of 2005. Since her formal training in contemporary painting,  figurative drawing and graphic design Arpineh’s work has been exhibited at Spin Gallery (Canada), Distillery Historic District (Canada) and Infusion Gallery (Los Angeles).

As a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, Arpineh has navigated the versatile professional environments of Canada, Hawaii and Los Angeles. She expanded her knowledge of graphic media and design at various in house and boutique agencies. Since 2006, she has served as a graphic designer for The Sports Club Company.  After taking on the title of Art Director in 2009, she has led the sophisticated conceptualization for all marketing pieces. In addition to working as an Art Director,  Arpineh fosters her creative range, by also working as a freelance contractor for various clients including Steal Jace by Christina Demoss, the agencie, Ainokea clothing, e2 Creative Group, Lpantastico, Built by Rener, Oneeyefive Studios, Kids On Paper, Iconology and much more.  

Arpinehs’ goal is to see design elevated in the business world and have designers recognized as strategic business people rather than being viewed as a pair of hands used to execute other people's ideas. In an effort to further explore this personal design vision, Arpineh has created Reason4Design Studio. Currently, she works part-time under this studio to explore new and interesting expressions of communication and design. Reason4Design Studio embraces all graphic media, web design and traditional media such as paint, inks, pastels, collage and mixed-media.

As an active member of AIGA, Arpineh values the professional organizations of the Art community. Growth and education continue to be a priority for Arpineh in her professional and personal endeavors. Recently she finished studying the most recent advancements in web design. Arpineh believes in a balanced lifestyle.  She spends most of her free time painting, reading, watching movies and working out.
